Question for you though, is the purple color cast on the top of the photo from your cokin grad NDs? I bought one recently and have noticed some unwanted colors in the "neutral" colored filters (though the color works for some photos such as this).
-- Please visit my website at www.raymakerphotography.com Let me know what you think! Yeah there is a bit of color cast on the cokins ..... i've only really seen it when i have 2 grads on .

Stark dark contrasts and rich vivid colors. The point of view amplifies the natural power of the central object. Balance-wise the composition is a little off center, but that lends a more natural sense to the moment.
I often think of dead or dying treas as natural sculptures, dancers frozen in a moment of their movement.
The sense of life and living still their in the vibrant movement of their limbs and branches.
A powerful sense of life rising from the earth, reaching toward the sky, caught in a moment of the glory of it's struggle to exist.
Caught in the rays of a sun doing battle with a stormy sky, as if to say, "this is me, this is what I am, this is what I have become.
I will continue on."
